A convincing win over David Lloyd

The ladies team took to the courts last night and recorded an emphatic 9-0 victory over David Lloyd!

Regular pairings of Helen S and Sal and Sarah and Suz took all their games convincingly in two games. New pairing of Helen C and Alison who have been short of ladies ‘court time’ recently decided to extend one of their games and take it to three but did manage to win in the end.

In an attempt to keep Helen C away from the scoresheet she was given a place on the team - but no - before the match had even got underway she had got her mitts on the scoresheet and the rest is history. Suffice to say that another ‘amended/altered’ scoresheet is on its way to Les :)

Lets hope for a repeat performance on Sunday when we play them away.

Hope the men have more players there on Sunday and can take up all the court space offered to them.

PS - After the match there was a challenge of best of 3 between Helen S and Sal against Helen C and Al - lets just say it wasn’t the regular first ladies pairing that were victorious :)

Men’s A v Llantrisant B

Llantrisant were given no quarter on Sunday, Men’s A winning 9-0. Woohoo!

Thanks to Owen and James for coming in as super-subs for the evening and making sure that Vale kept a clean sheet. (Helen C was spotted near the scoresheet with her leaky biro but was shooed away before she could wreak her usual havoc.)
