Mixed A beat Arches 7 games to 2.
Even though the team has changed yet again, bringing in 2 ringers, the Vale A went on to brush aside the opposition. I can hear you all wondering who were the ringers this time… well the old pairing (and I mean old) of Alison & Byron… who took all 3 of their games! [We rocked! - Ed.]
Once again myself and Chris took 3 (I know, its getting boring). I think you can work out the maths to determine who took the 1 game. This lead to the Captain giving Helen S a stern talking to and requesting that H finishes work early - it’s just not good enough turning up in office attire.
Well done temporary team and thanks to Glyn, an ailing Kinsey for the support and our good wishes go to Sarah.

Vale Men’s C ran up an impressive 9-0 victory at the super sauna National Sports Centre against Reardon Smith.
It was not as easy as the scoreline suggests, with four rubbers going to three and the return in a couple of weeks time is not a gimme. Many thanks to Rob John for travelling down from Swansea - and even more thanks to his mum for watching!
Rob and Matt looked a formidable pairing. Jordan and Sam, Danny and I made up the other successful pairs.

Vale Mixed B’s venture into the Grant Williams Cup started with a 6 – 3 victory against Reardon Smith B. With Danny and Emma missing from the team our old favourite sub Rob Calcaterra was drafted in with new partner Chris Croad, (Helen away sunbathing again?) Jack once again partnered with Jayne, and the old pairing of AlanD and Kat made up the 3 pairs.
Games were close at times with the last 2 games going to no setting, scores of 21 – 20 in favour of Vale Mixed B.
Thanks once again to Rob and Chris,
AlanD
